Hey. If you can get to Berkeley on Tuesday night, I'm attending a class on Sports Bodywork, with an instructor who asks us to bring in folks with injuries and problems. He's got 30 years under his belt and he can tell you what's going on with it and whether you need surgery or if you have less intense alternatives.
He checked out my friend ladyjax's knee injury earlier tonight, and confirmed that it was neither her ACL or cartilage damage.
ah, thank you. i have a really good ortho sports doc. he's pretty stellar. i'm seeing him in the morning after having an m.r.i. on my knee. i can tell this evening that it's fucked up. last year i was able to recover really well in only six weeks after arthroscopic surgery. it's just... the first couple weeks sucked really hard, and that was with a great roommate and a mothering ex.
oh, hun. If it makes sense, bring up the option of going to that class with your doc. He might say it's a good idea. Sharing tools, that sort of thing.
i will do what i can. i have good mind-over-matter when it comes to healing... just, i dunno what's wrong here. he said it was nothing obvious. i'm going to phys therapy.
Good sign if the doc can't find any problems. I know it doesn't fix the pain, but at least it means this is a minor setback ,and a reminder to keep at the phys therapy exercises.
